Patricia Watson cd cover detail

Patricia Watson: ". . . inner beauty,
authenticity & marvelous talent!"

Classic jazz, silky smooth with a gospel touch, that's the music in Patricia Watson. The purity of her voice, combined with her style, grace and the amazing musicians that accompany her, won her the Rising Star Award for 2009 from the African Nova Scotia Music Association.

Patricia Watson sings gospel

Her voice and songs inspire her audience so much so that they cannot resist the urge to sing along and participate in this engaging soulful musical experience. Music is magic!

As a little girl, she had a recurring dream, "I would be sitting in the audience watching myself sing on stage and also be on stage watching myself in the audience." This has played out in her life because she has actually been in both places.

Patricia has been a guest speaker, soloist and workshop facilitator at different churches and venues in Canada and the United States. She performs with The Patricia Watson Quintet in Canada and Jazzy Women in the US.

On June 25, 2016, the Starfish volunteers, Chester Drama Society volunteers and the Chester Playhouse came together to raise funds for the Starfish Refugee Project. This song, "What a Wonderful World" sung by Patricia Watson and Musical Friends, embodies the hope that humanity will some day learn to embrace diversity for the awesomeness it can offer. If only we could learn to live together and recognize the humanity in everyone.

Testimonial for Patricia Watson's new CD Feeling Good

Patricia Watson sings jazz

"what a fab cd you have put together with tony and your musician friends! your voice is clear, it reaches out, is totally pitched and toned and bang on capturing the lyrics and the songs . . . listening just got better and better and better with each cut . . . you are VERY brave to launch with the standards you chose !!!

"it's an alerting moment for the listener to move beyond the "originals" to take in your challenge version and you nail it, girl ! ! ! as i listened to "fever" for example, somewhere around 10 bars, it was YOU not peggy !!! WOW !!! that takes some clear presence on your part !!!

"the Jobim "wave" takes you and the band to a harmonic rush ! like wave and ocean: not two ! the gospel work is worthy of joined hands in praise !!!!!! (cute phrasing, eh !!!)

"anyway . . . got to take the time to listen again . . . that's it: it's a listening cd ! not background music . . . like being in a club, a live show, with you all being in the spotlight !"
